the best time to do this is when you feel absolutely horrible, when you’re having a shitty day and nothing is going right at all. i was having one hell of a day and composing this list forced me to focus and hone in on the better things that make life worthwhile. keeping it around makes it easier to cope with daily struggles, although redoing it over and over works in a sort of meditative, relaxing-exercise way, too.

my friend took me out today and we learned on her bike. and i got it!! i got the hang of it! when i started riding away from everyone along the promenade by the ocean, it was just the most beautiful, peaceful feeling in the world.
