this is most likely waaaaaay too much background info, but one time my family went on a tour of “an authentic Amish house replica”, and I was struck by the minimalism of the furniture and rooms…I thought it was pretty darn cool. So I am the world’s weirdest packrat, but lately, due to many lifestyle upheavals, I have been moved to go through all my random crap and toss it. And it really is an amazing feeling….like you’re shedding thirty pounds or something. And you really don’t miss the stuff u get rid of, I mean, honestly ya’ll, it’s just STUFF. When you die, it ain’t goin’ with you!! Can you really not live without it?

it’s the most relaxing, fun, interesting, self-therapeutic (?-sp?) thing I think I’ve ever done. I’m probably on my like tenth journal at this point….it’s not hard to do, just sit down and write down whatever pops into your head. It’s the original blog.
Africa calling

since as long as I can remember I’ve felt called or drawn to go “Somewhere Foreign” and help somehow (doing heaven knows what, I’ve never gotten that far mentally)...so now I’m what you could call an adult, but have I done anything remotely helpful???? No….I’m just makin’ my way through college and working a job that’s nice enough, wondering what I’ma do with my life.
