for weeks before finally splashing out on my Ipod. Bought into the hype completely, despite it being one of the most expensive hard disk players on the market. Then, for some unexplained reason, it reset itself. Had to reload all my tracks onto it – then it did it again. Got thoroughly p*ed off and passed it on to a friend. Haven’t missed it at all.
Inspirational….. Started it yesterday and I am finding it difficult to put down. This is exactly why I bought it – I knew it would contain exactly the kind of unpredictable, innovative concepts that I could only dream of coming up with myself. We are truly blessed to have had a talent like Octavia Butler in our midst
I have had the good fortune to see this work twice. The first was a gift from myself to my older sister. I had thought she might want to take her husband so I bought them two tickets as an anniversary gift. She decided to take me – and we both thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the evening.
They returned to Sadlers Wells the following year – and this time I did not hesitate to book us two tickets so that we could relive that awesome experience.
I went back to St.Vincent this summer. It was something I’d needed to do for a long time, but kept putting off first because I couldn’t afford to, then because so much time had passed I wasn’t sure anyone there would remember me. Ended up having a great time, although mosquitoes bit me to death – literally. My legs still look strange, but seeing my family again after all this time, spending quality time with my favourite Uncle, taking a boat out to Bequia and just hanging out on the beach with peeps made it a trip I will never forget.
I got mine a few days before my 18th birthday, during my first semester at uni. Went with a friend who at the time was the one who ‘really’ wanted one. I decided to go first.. for some reason she changed her mind….chicken ;-) It’s of a dolphin leaping over the sun, and I still love it.
and for a while was totally engrossed in those last few episodes (had a bit of a Lost weekend, determined to find out what happened), and now I still really want to know what happens. Season 3 better have some answers for me!!!
