Very very hard... 14 months ago

This is very hard for me to do when I’m in a rush and I have to get somewhere FAST. I guess the best solution is to not cut things so close…

So…apparently, I’ve defaulted. I need to work harder on this. Give myself more leeway so I don’t have to rush. I know it helps with stress levels too – driving calmly that is.

The other day I was driving with my parents’ car, whose clock is slow – and I know it’s slow. I just don’t know how slow it is…and how to fix it. Anyway, because I didn’t really know the real time and it seemed earlier than it actually was, I wasn’t in as big of rush to drive to work as I usually am. It felt cool. Unfortunately, I got to work a little later than I had realized. Oh well…

I guess my point is, I gotta leave earlier for things so that I can have a more relaxing drive.

Compliment 15 months ago

So a while back I went up to Tantalus (mountain) to take some pictures of the city from the mountain. Actually, I went a number of times to do that. But there was one time I went later when it was starting to get dark, so that I could get some night light pictures. Most of them turned out blurry and such because it’s so hard to capture city lights at night without messing it up. And…I don’t know enough about photography to know what to do to improve the quality besides finding a surface to place the camera so that it’s completely still.

Anywho, a few pictures came out pretty nice. I have this one picture of a close-up of Diamond Head crater surrounded by city lights against an almost purple sky – transitional phase between dusk and night. It turned out really nice. I used that picture as my desktop image.

One day, one of my co-workers was walking by my office (my computer screen faces outside of the office so passers-by can see what’s on my screen), and he stopped and came in for a better look at my picture. He asked if I took it myself and then asked if I consider myself a photographer. =) I’ll just take that as a compliment. hehe

I definitely wish I could call myself a photographer…but I know I’m at most a very very very amateur one. I need to take some classes…

Improving? 15 months ago

So I’ve been told I have improved a bit. I guess I have. Yet there’s still MUCH MUCH MUCH more room for improvement.

I’m definitely able to small talk better. Well, we have to…and are somewhat trained on it.

I still have trouble striking up conversation, though. I can probably maintain it for a few minutes…but I still have to work on it. But woohoo for improvement! However slight it is!

My boss even gave me a book on how to be a better…uhh…speaker? Social-wise. I’ve just been too lazy to pick up the book. =P
