Spend less time fooling around on the net and more time actually working
Manictime 4 months ago

I found a great computer program called “Manictime” that helps me keep track of what I’m doing on the computer & the internet. I couldn’t believe how much time I’ve spent on Facebook :p

Write a magazine article
I know that I'm good enough 12 months ago

I’ve always known that my writing skills are good enough. Now I want to prove it to myself.

There are just two obstacles I have to face: What to write about, and where to send it.

stop my internet addiction
Gotta put the brakes on this 12 months ago

I spend way too much time on the internet, especially youtube. What’s worse, it cuts into the time that I need to accomplish my other goals such as reading or practicing the piano.

If only I could find a computer program that could (1) keep track of my internet habits, (2) a timer that would alert me when I’ve spent too much time on the computer, (3) or both!

Become a good public speaker
Toastmasters 12 months ago

If you’re serious about public speaking, then join your local toastmasters club. Just visit their website, at toastmasters dot org, and find something that’s nearby.

I love Toastmasters! Everyone owes it to themselves to visit at least once.

Make new friends
Untitled 12 months ago

Even though I was living in my hometown, I didn’t have any friends to meet or do anyting. I was tired of always of always being by myself, not having friends to celebrate new year’s eve, or always going alone to restaurants. Then three years ago, I made a phenomenal discovery. One that had a huge positive impact on my life.

What if I told you that you can make your social life as busy as you want it to be? How can someone go from cave hermit to social butterfly literally overnight?

I’ve joined several online social websites, but the one that benefited me the most is meetin dot org. Just join your local meetin chapter, look at the calendar, RSVP, and GO!

Meetin dot org is for EVERYONE 21 and over. Single, married, in a relationship, or whatever. Think you’re too old? We have members that are 60+. It doesn’t really matter your age, as long as you can have a good time and play well with others.

Meetin dot org my personal favorite, but there are other groups out there that can expand your social horizons: Yahoo’s Upcoming, meetup dot com, mixer mixer dot com, the list goes on. With so many online PLATONIC social networks available, there’s no legitimate excuse to be alone.

get in shape

I found a great website that I’m using to get back into shape: sparkpeople dot com

Not only is it a complete fitness assistance website (meal planner, exercise planner, progress tracker, etc.) but it’s FREE. I also love the support that I’ve received from the community. It’s so awesome! I even found a support group in my local area.

have better posture
Backtone 12 months ago

I found a great device called the “backtone.” It reminds you when your posture is out of shape.

Meet the Pet Shop Boys
Untitled 12 months ago

For over 20 years, I’ve been a fan of the Pet Shop Boys. They write song with catchy beats and clever lyrics, which are a ray of light in today’s rather bleak music world. Their music has been a part of so many stages in my personal history, that I couldn’t imagine going through life without it. In fact, there’s at least one Pet Shop Boys song for almost every life encounter that I’ve been through. I know this might sound strange, but it’s almost as if we’re on the same wave length.

But seriously, before my time is up, I’d like to meet Neil & Chris in person and thank them for sharing their talent with the world.
