Engaged Encounter 6 months ago

We went to and Engagement Encounter this weekend. It was really worth it. I feel like we have communicated more to each other than is typical and there was nothing that was in our packet of stuff to talk about/write to each other about that we hadn’t already discussed. It still was a great, uninterrupted time to talk more about some things (like setting a budget) and we feel even closer, which I didn’t think was possible.

The downside was that I often felt uncomfortable because it was religious, and sometimes it felt overbearing. I don’t know if there are non-religious ones, but that would have eased some of the tension and hostility I felt.
