How I did it: I wanted to knit a wearable pair but was very intimidated by the whole process. In a Ravelry swap, I got some worsted weight yarn and a pattern to do a Christmas stocking. About a year ago, a friend gave me some sock yarn to coax me to knit socks. Since my post-holiday knitting tends toward “selfish knitting,” and I had done so well with making sock ornaments and Christmas stockings, I picked these up again.
I was actually surprised how quickly this went.
One sock down. Once I finish the other, I consider this goal accomplished.
