How to do napowrimo 2009 (a poem a day during April)
It took me

It made me
splat!

How I did it: Most days I would start with a blank sheet of unlined paper, and a pencil. If I had a fairly clear idea of what I wanted to write, I would sometimes use pen, but most of the time I didn't know what the poem was about until I was halfway through and the repetitive phrases started to emerge.At the bottom of the page, I would have a small pile of sentences that I thought I might use in the poem. How to create a list of all of my (unique) life goals

How I did it: I was inspired by Shortstack to take up this goal because she had such awesome things on her list. In pondering the kind of things I would enjoy, I really tried to reach out for things that I had been told were unfeasable, dreams that were too big or too strange to have really talked about it the past. Now I know where to find them, and can start to think about them in a real way, even the impossible ones! Read how I did it…

How to play 'Mystery Body Parts'

How I did it: Setting up the rules and the goals and how to make it all work was one of the most difficult parts. There were a lot of people to coordinate to make it run all smoothly. Mamabear and Lulubell were of course instrumental in making sure everyone was on the same page.Beyond that, it was easy and fun. Take pictures every week of the requested feature, post, and then guess later in the week who's is who's. Read how I did it…

Challenge Painting No. 2 15 hours ago

Was finished (minus the strings) at 3:30 thursday morning of the day I was leaving. Completing it involved coming home and painting for two hours, sleeping for two hours, painting for two more hours, sleeping for two hours, and then getting up and packing it for the trip at 5:30 in the morning.

The strings were glued down on Saturday, at the LPV studio.

do NaNoWriMo 2009 (read all 3 entries…)
NaNo 2009: Day 3 4 days ago

Three solid hours of writing at the local write-in, with four 10 minute sprints thrown in the middle of it, and I am caught back up to where I should be.

Done with chapter one. Have introduced all of the characters that (at this point) I think are likely to play prominent roles in the rest of the story (except one, who won’t enter in to the plot until halfway through, although he may get mentioned sooner, I haven’t decided yet). Still just about right on track for my outline… characters haven’t done anything yet to send me spinning off in some unplanned direction.


5230 / 50000 words. 10% done!
