You can just google flight school in your area and call and ask about their discovery flight. It is any where from 30 minutes to and hour where they show you the ropes of flying. They walk you through everything from checking the plane before take off to letting you fly the plane yourself! I did this to see if being a pilot is what I wanted to do as a career but anyone could do this just to be able to fly a plane. The cost for me was only $100. Some places can be more but not by a lot. Its worth every penny.

How I did it: There is a place called "The Anger Room" in Dallas. You have to schedule an appointment online. It can be anywhere from $20 to $75 depending on if you want one or two people in the room and how you want the room to be set up. I had a freakin blast. I bashed up a computer, printer, cable box, mannequin, table and more with a bat. They give you all kinds of weapons to choose from though. Its definitely worth trying at least once. How I did it: I signed up for the "adrenaline" category on Groupon. I saw "Powered Parasailing" on there for $99. It is normally $199 so I went for it. Normally its a good drive to get to where they do this. They normally need big open fields to take off in. I had to schedule an appointment although some places may not require it.
