I am pleased to let the world know that I just completed the half marathon in Hartford, Ct today.. I don’t have a clue what my time was as we got bad directions from one police officer and a few ornery race volunteers.. I might add, I ditched one running shoe in East Hartford, ct under the bridge and took the other off about a block away.. That was mile 4.. I did the last 9 miles in socks.. To say my feet are killing me is an understatement.. BUT.. I did it.. !

It is.. and it does create chaos within me. It doesn’t happen all the time but in those moments when I get so overwhelmed I can’t see straight, the gorilla comes out of the bag, and my bipolar raises its miserable self for all the world to see. And its at this moment my anger surfaces and I can tear you a new one in under a minute.. Or I can just take it out on myself.. It isn’t easy… being polar..
Last year I completed 2 5k’s and one race that was 13.6 miles. Being sooo out of shape caused me to walk those races. The 13.6 mile race took me 4 hrs. That one was a killer as it poured the entire day.. but.. I finished the race, even if I only walked. I am lined up to do a half marathon in October of this year and a few 5k’s.. I need to start walking around the block a few times a day to get motivated..
