How I did it: I'd been mulling it over for a week or two, and then ran out of coffee at home, so on a whim, I didn't buy more. I replaced the coffee with English breakfast tea to stave off headaches -- probably overdid it, with 2-3 cups, compared to my one coffee. I planned ahead to have tea available, like buying the kind I like and packing it for vacation. How I did it: I think basically with a bit of intention, it wasn't that hard. I bought a paper address book a while back, and then a couple of months later sent a group email asking for people's snail mails. While I was traveling and sitting in the airport, I filled in the entries, so now I have a small, mobile set of addresses to reference when the mood hits spontaneously. How I did it: Went up there for my friend's gallery opening downtown, and in just a couple of days got to meet up with a few other friends by bouncing around and having lots of meals. Really rejuvenating, with good conversation.A bunch of us stayed at the Golden Gate Inn on Bush Street. This goal could also be called “Stop wearing sweatshirts at work.” I mean really, office casual is one thing, but I really push it, lol.
I think this goes along with taking better care of my budget and knowing what I have available to spend. I just never account for buying clothes.
Also, I’m so grossed out by massed-manufactured objects that don’t account for the environment .. but then I end up buying stuff in desperation.
