I doubt this will be what I buy with my tax money any year coming up soon, and it’s not in my budget otherwise between my daughter and school. As much as I’d love to own some someday, this is too materialistic and is being taken off of my goals until it’s more realistic. My Psych teacher has taught me to set realistic goals for myself. ;)

How I did it: I talked to a lactation consultant at the hospital. I thought it was a silly idea before I actually did it, but I assure you that you won't regret it! I also read a lot on kellymom.com and visited the La Leche League website, and took a class at my local hospital before my daughter was born. It hasn't been the easiest experience ever; in the hospital, my nipples were cracked and bleeding, and then my daughter got thrush from being on too … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was admitted to the hospital after they found out I'd had a slow leak of amniotic fluid for two days (I didn't know it was amniotic fluid leaking), and then I was put on a pitocin drip to induce my contractions. My labor failed to progress, and the doctor realized it's because the baby was right occiput posterior. We tried continuing the pitocin and trying to encourage her to turn by me laying on my side ect. ect., but she didn't move a… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I knew before I ever turned 18 that I wanted to vote, so I registered to vote using rockthevote.com in 2007, the year I was turning 18. I had to wait a little while, but when it came time to vote in the general election in 2008, I went to my local church and voted for Obama. All I had to bring was my driver's liscence. There wasn't even a line, so the process was pretty quick and simple... Read how I did it…

I’m still doing this, but because it annoys my boyfriend REALLY bad because we sleep beside eachother and I have to wake up earlier, I’ve cut down to only hitting it once. There are occasionally mornings I don’t hit it at all, but it’s still usually done at least one time. I hope to completely cut it out eventually, but I’m much better than I used to be.
How bad could I have been, you say? Well, I had to set the alarm an hour earlier than I had to wake up, and the snooze was only set for five minutes. Do the math. I lived for the snooze button back then.
I’ve already read two. (“Lord Of The Flies” and “Animal Farm”) I decided to make this my goal, perhaps it’ll be for the year. I went ahead and picked up one of the novels by Faulkner, “As I Lay Dying” and I’m going to try to knock that out outside of my schoolwork. :)
