I used to love writing journals when I was in high school and it was fun looking back and reading what my emotions and what my priorities was at that point in my life.. but years pass and season change and I changed.. some of the things that I used to enjoy back then just lingered away and I make excuses why I can not do them anymore. But today I just wrote 3 entries on this thing and it feels good to have my feeling put on in paper.. or at least in words on the computer. Its actually fun.. maybe a couple on months or years down the road and I will look back and reminisce on this good all days.. and besides life is short so write.. write.. write!!! and who knows my kid or kids will someday stumble on this entry and something inside them will spark.

I learned this early in life.. that for every action there is an equivalent reaction.. so that means everything I say, I do or I feel.. has an effect on something.. That is amazing considering that there are so many mundane things that I do in my everyday life. But to really make this goal true for me is to actually notice everything I do.. be it sleeping.. eating… reading or playing. THis means taking into account all the mundane and turning it into something to be thankful for and actually enjoy it. Life’s simple pleasures as I would like to call it… be grateful that I have it and be hopeful that such blessing will keep on coming. One way of achieving this goal for me is to review my life everyday, not to focus on the negative but on the positive on reaching my goals, on planning ahead and on patting myself in the back for making every moment and every breath count. Today I had an hour to play with my daughter, she is the funniest and cutest little creature that I have met and not just because she is my daughter. I am fascinated by the way she learns.. like a sponge she takes in her environment.. copies and tries to do it… Oh like a child, the mundane becomes a task.. a learning experience. NOTE TO SELF: be grateful!!
I have been putting off this goal for too long now, guess the best time to start is now. Always told myself that I was going to do it, that after giving birth I will diligently do it. I did though signed up for the gym after Elizabeth was born but I always found a reason not to go.. like ” I need to spend time with Elizabeth.”, “I am tired from working night shift.”, “I will do it tomorrow.”.. anything and everything.. I guess I have already exhaust the reasons as to why not to do it and NOW is the time to say… STOP!! do it now before its too late. Do it for myself and not for anyone else. Half the year is over, what better day to start than now.. true, I did not have any new year’s resolution for 2007 but the year is not done yet right?.. So for today.. I did pretty good and not gorging out on food. I am at work now and trying to control myself from ordering. I think that is one reason why I gain weight, all this ordering out when at work.. SO NOTE TO SELF: BRING A LUNCH BAG TO AVOID ORDERING OUT. Little baby steps I am taking today.
