Yesterday I bought a book Organizing for Dummies. I am on my way to being more organized. I am off this week and plan on starting on my guest room/dumping ground.

I have always wanted to do something to make a difference to somebody. I used to voluteer a little when I was a teen and have a strong urge to do something for someone else. I went online and searched for ways to volunteer in my area. I sent 2 emails to 2 different organizations looking for volunteers. One was a mentor for teen mothers. I was a teen mother and feel I have done pretty good for myself and would love to help another girl see her potential. The other agency was looking for people to assist women who are living in shelters with newborns. Kind of a mentor mother. I hope one of these is a fit for me. They both sounded great and felt like a fit for me.

Who wouldn’t love to hit the lottery? I could take care of my mother the way I want to and also donate some money to the non-profit I work for (New Learning Center). I don’t even buy lottery tickets so I am not sure how I expect to win it. Like my friend says “you go to be in it to win it”. Guess I will start playing a little in 2008
