We went to 2 beaches in Malibu. My favorite is still Paradise Cove – lots of little kids near the restaurant and lots of space further down the shore. My little niece had a wonderful time at the BEACH and did not like the waves at all. My adult niece joined us for the second beach and photo shoots.
Second day I took the little one to Travel Town – she loved playing on the trains and riding the kiddy train – twice.
I declare myself complete and satisfied – even with my souvenir sunburn.

I’ve identified 12 organizations to which to give from April 2008 to April 2009. The list might change down the road but I am satisfied that for today it is the list that speaks to me. I’ve given my first donation and feel great about it.

I love the zoo and conservation – and zoos usually are involved with supporting conservation efforts in specific organic regions – so this year its the Tucson Zoo on my list and perhaps one other that supports other important efforts

I’ve read 8 books so far – a real surprise. Most have been from the original list but some are not. I might actually make this goal in the allotted time frame!

I now have visited 45 states. Nebraska and Kansas were my gift to myself this spring. I am raring to go to the next state. All of a sudden, I feel urgency around this.

I just returned from a roadtrip to Kansas and Nebraska. I was told it would be a boring drive and yet, I thought it was beautiful and charming. I felt connected to the earth and the cultures of each state.

Here it is April and I have not read a full book in quite a while – I have read chapters in a some but no full books. I am stumbling trying to decide which book to read first. So I am revising my goal to meet what I see as reality sneaking in on me. I am breathing easier already.

This was a big step for me – going from budget car to a car a bit on the luxurious side but already, I am glad that I did. This feels like the car I am meant to drive.

For most of my computer career, I have used a PC but there was a short time when I actually used a MAC and loved the ability to create cool graphics and the ease of using it. Now that I am in business and make powerpoint presentations the graphics ability of the MAC is important to me. I bought the parallels program with it which allows me to have both a Windows and MAC OS and go between the files so I didn’t lose anything. I LOVE it! I have the best of all worlds. Plus, MAC has this great deal for $99 – an hour of hands on training each week for a year. I feel like I have 2 laptops in one. This is THE way to go!

This is a great idea – thanks for posting it. I had tried 2 books a month and it didn’t work, but this will. I have a list already started.

I have visited 43 of the 50 states. I have the following states left to visit: North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Hawaii. I am purposely saving Hawaii for last.
I also want to visit all the Canadian Provinces. I’ve been to 3: Alberta, British Columbia, and the one directly above Michigan.
I’ve also been to Puerto Rico and am thinking about adding the US Territories to my list of places to visit.

It’s a cultural experience – you gotta do it! I want to do it again and again and again.

This is my way of retreating on wheels.. my longest is 5 weeks thru western us and canada.. I let the morning breeze determine my direction – the way the river flows or birds fly or something I heard from another adventurer.. Hopefully another trip this summer
