Cute, but the book is definitely better. Jim Carrey does a great job in the role though. I heard Ben Stiller was originally going to do it, but I’m not sure I would have enjoyed Mr. Popper as much. Maybe it is my love of penguins and my love of this book growing up clouding my judgement, but I feel this was a pretty good retelling of the story.

This is rare in that I prefer the movies to the books. I thought the books were horridly written, but I like the idea of the story. This was the better movie of the series so far. It was actually almost decent. Hope the last one continues to improve to end it all on a high note.
I enjoyed the first movie, so I knew I wanted to see this one but not necessarily pay to see it while in theatres. I’m glad I waited to get the DVD. It was cute and the Toy Story short was great. I’m happy to have this as part of my collection.
