43things is so cool! I use it as my roadmap to help me moving forward in life. I think some of my friends could use a good list to help them reach their goals. Sometimes the simple act of writing things down helps solidify ideas in a way that simply thinking about them doesn’t do.

I am a visual thinker. I could remember a person’s face no problem. I’ve seen you before, but I can’t put a name to that face. It happens all the time. I think it’s extremely important to remember names. It’s like getting that peice of junkmail that says ‘current resident.’ You toss it out, right? It’s the same way with people, it’s human nature, some of us can shrug it off, but subconsciously we feel kinda bad, like we weren’t worth remembering. The best thing I have found, was to make it personal when trying to get someone’s name. Like, “Oh! You like green tea and we had that great conversation about famous oil painters, but I just can’t pinpoint your name!” If they know you remember a part of them it lets them know they were important enough to remember.
