How I did it: I originally started off with the goal of buying nothing new for 1 year after seeing a group of people doing it in america. How I did it: As cheesy as it sounds, me and my boyfriend knew we'd live together even before our first date but we are also sensible and didn't rush into it. We had a few problems. One was that I was in Portsmouth and he was in Manchester and two-I still lived with my parents. We agreed I needed to live on my own for a while first to 'find myself' so to speak. How I did it: I went along to a taster day with my sister being run at the local community centre. We then started lessons (with Nasira Bellydancing-Southsea) and went along every wednesday for months, We learnt great routines and then eventually performed them at local carnivals and parades in our amazing outfits.
