How I did it: I thought of someone to make it for, and that really helped. I kept thinking that every time they wore it, they could imagine me hugging them! I haven't given it to them yet, but I am excited to do so. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My father used to lead Art History-based tours to Europe, and I got to tag along on some of them. When we went to this cathedral, it was damp and musky inside, very cavernous. I moved around a lot as a kid—like an army family, my mom and I followed my dad’s insatiable appetite for knowledge and new experiences everywhere! Now, I feel like I am looking for where my roots are, and they seem to be in a lot of places. So, I feel a pull to move back to a lot of different places that I have and have not lived before.
I realized that I haven’t made very many friends here in San Diego (I moved back in May 2009) because a part of me feels like putting down roots is a waste of time. After living here for 6.25 months, I have come to a powerful conclusion:
If you never put roots down because you fear the hurt of being transplanted, you will never live.
With that, sparrowlion us making every effort to root.
