Day 2, Minty Berry Juice, with blueberries, kiwis, blackberries, strawberries and mint leaves. It tasted great but had a weird fuzzy texture and I thought it might be because Ian didn’t take off the skin of the kiwi fruit. Though he swore that it shouldn’t matter.
Day 3, Blackberry Kiwi juice, pineapple, blackberries and kiwis. This time we took the skin off and it was MUCH better. Kiwi skins are NOT going in the juicer again.
Day 4, Pomegranate-Blueberry Juice. Just blueberries and Pomegranate. I didn’t like this one much, I had never had a pomegranate before and didn’t know they were so bitter! I took a big sip and immediately regretted it. I’ll have to work on those.
Day 5, Carrot Pineapple Orange Juice, Orange, pineapple, carrots, lemon. This would have been good with maybe half of the amount of lemon and orange we used. It was VERY acidic and I couldn’t taste the carrots and pineapple over the lemons and orange. We’ll probably come back to this one in the future and tweak the recipe.
Random juice- Ian wanted to just make juice and using the veggies we had in the fridge, baby carrots, celery, mangos and an orange and juiced them all to create a very very not great drink. Celery as it turns out in large doses is very salty. I never had really noticed before, I add it to my soup for lunch. I was surprised that he had used those ingredients, he doesn’t like carrots or celery. But it was interesting overall.
This upcoming week the juices are including more vegetables so it’s going to be interesting.
