get rid of unnecessary possessions
I started... 2 years ago

I’m moving soon and I would really love to bring less stuff with me. I have the bad habit of being a pack rat. But today I went through my jewelry box and decided to give a bunch to a local womens shelter. I also joined paperback swap to get rid of some of the old books that I do not read anymore. I know its not much, but its a step in the right direction.

read A Clockwork Orange
I just finished 2 years ago

I thought it was a really good book. A little confusing at first with Alexs language, but I had been warned about the language by friends who had already read the book. I really enjoy off beat books, if you don’t you probably wouldn’t like A Clockwork Orange. Now I have to get back to reading all of the other books I own, but have not read.

have long hair
Growing it back out 2 years ago

I had very, very, very long hair. My hair is naturally wavey. It almost came down to my waist (when straight). Last July I cut off 12” and donated it to locks of love. I know that they might not be the best charity in the world, but I thought it was a very good idea. I still think it was a very good idea, hopefully now someone is putting my hair to good use. Plus my hair grows really fast. About 5 inches have already grown back. So I have sort of long hair again.

get a job (read all 2 entries…)
Untitled 2 years ago

I quit my job last week so now it is time to find a new one. It might not have been a great idea to leave my job since I didn’t have another lined up. But I was a nanny and the family treated me like dirt. I hated it. I’m happy I quit but now a little worried about finding a new job.

Be happy without being in love.
Untitled 2 years ago

I’m happy. I love my friends, and I’m over the boy who broke my heart. Its hard. It doesn’t happen overnight. But it is such an amazing feeling.

Visit New Orleans
I went last spring 2 years ago

I went last spring to New Orleans. We gutted houses during the day and went out at night. I got to spend two nights on bourbon street. I got to meet the author Martha Ward and have dinner with her. We met lots of interesting people. I’ve been in a FEMA trailer. We met FEMA workers. We ate at the Made With Love Cafe. It was an amazing city, and I’d love to go back some day.

live in Vermont
Untitled 2 years ago

I lived in Burlington for two years and I loved it. The people are so nice. Everything is more laid back than Boston. I miss shopping on Church St and at City Market. The lake is beautiful, and the sunsets on the lake are amazing. I miss it a lot. It is an amazing place to live.
