when i am living in the moment and being present…i am able to find the gratitude and celebrate just being. the challenge is to shut off all the noise from external and internal sources that create barriers to this process. it is most peaceful when i am able to do so.



Quit Smoking
Quitting smoking=FREEDOM 4 years ago

February 2004, I made a decision that I was not going to let another cigarette smoke me. And each day that I didn’t smoke was another day of freedom. I discovered that I had choice all along, I just had to act.

It takes 3 days to withdraw from the physical craving
Drink lots of water and get lots of rest.
Tell people what you’re doing
Be around supportive friends.

I used quotes like these to get me through the mental cravings.

-I can smoke, but I choose not to.
-Not today. I’ve already smoked a lung.
-And my favorite… And then what…

Freedom=

-You can breathe better
-You smell good
-Food taste better
-You don’t have that nasty cough
-You’ll save $$. I started a savings with the $
-You can use your breaks to read, relax, stretch, walk, etc.
-Come on ADD your own… YOU CAN DO IT! Choose Freedom.



Be a better steward of my money
live within my means 4 years ago

be realistic about what i can afford and begin to pay off my debts. one of the ways i can do this is by not eating out and planning my meals, which would help with my goals for losing weight as well.
