How I did it: We planned to go to Mt. Baldy. You just show up there with some money (around 80 $s) for the ski-lift ticket+snowboard rental+snowboard lesson. The hard part is getting enough troops to go with you. If you're the type who can take the initiative and motivate others, that helps. Read how I did it…

The next step. 22 months ago

Ok, so I…

- got bored with my car.
- got rid of it and got a Ninja 250
- drove it through mountains.
- learned motorcycle maintenance.
- took it on a road trip. twice
- – LA to Bay area…. and
- – LA to Zion,Bryce Canyons (Utah) and Antelope canyon (Arizona).

Now the next step has to be taking it to the race track. Motorcycle is teaching me how to be in the moment. focussed completely on what’s in front of your eyes, some track time will definitely improve my driving. I think I’m ready. I need leather gear though. So its going to be an investment.

own a motorcycle
Well worth it. 22 months ago

I owned a motorcycle in India. But when I came to LA I first commuted by bus for 4 years, then bought a car and drove it for three years. But started missing my bike from India.

I got a license and bough a new Kawasaki Ninja 250 for $3500. Riding a motorcycle is Thrilling, economical(not counting the potential risk that everyone and their brother talks to me about), and it is great in the terrible LA traffic.
