I wish I could give you sage words of wisdom, but I can’t say much more than that I just decided if it needed to be done, better now than never. The best recommendation I can give is to make a list of tasks required to acheive your goal. If you break it down into manageable parts it becomes easier to do.

A digital camera, a 1 year old, a computer, it couldn’t be easier, and I will have memories for when I’m old.

Got rid of stuff I don’t need anymore, and some cash for things I do need. It’s easier than I thought it would be.

My excuse for not doing this over the past two years has been that I was working shift work and needed to watch TV to stay awake. As of two days ago I no longer do shift work so now I have no excuse. Starting right now, no more TV.

I tried, I could only get though the first one, a couple days later I watched the second one, and a few days later the third. I don’t know how you people do it all in one day. You either have enormous attention spans, or you are bigger geeks than I am (and I speak klingon).

About 19 hours into it I couldn’t stop thinking about food, it was all consuming and I gave up. Maybe I should try for 24 hours before I try three days.

I get off work at 7 am tomorrow. I have been feeling run down going to school full time and working full time, plus my other obligations. I am going to fast until I go back to work (7 am thursday). I’ll report on my progress.

I actually started making smoothies in the morning, my recipe: frozen blueberries, a banana, apple juice, vanilla yougurt, mix to taste. Its healthier and give me more energy for the day.

I have found a new trick to ween myself off of TV. I now only watch DVDs on my computer. Am I still watching TV? technically no, Am I REALLY watching TV, well, yeah kinda. But this way I’m not tempted to keep watching when whatever I am watching is over, plus I’m right there where my homework is. Hopefully after a couple weeks of this I will be completly off of TV.

It’s different skiing in the summer. At A-basin there are NO crowds and you can board in a T shirt, however there aren’t many runs open and the dirt mixing with the snow slows you down. And don’t even think about back country.

I think I have tried to give up TV six times over the past couple years. This time hopefully I mean it. I honestly think I am addicted to it. I feel a need to watch it, and I’ll watch it for hours, but once it’s over, I feel sick. No more TV. I’ve been forced to give it up for months at a time in the past, and had no problems doing so, its when I’m not forced to do so that I have a problem. Hopefully with your help I can finally succeed.
