How I did it: I am a painfully slow runner. When I work on speed my knee hurts. Sometimes my knee hurts even when I am slow! I decided several months ago that I was not going to let myself get fixated on a time for the run, I just wanted to finish it. I'm so glad I did that! How I did it: I bought a pilates class on one of those daily deals emails. It was so much harder than I thought it would be! I think this is something I will do again, but not until after I am done with my marathon because I can't take a week off of running to recover from my pilates injuries!!!! How I did it: I read to my boys from the time they were babies on. I wasn't always great at doing it every night but I did my best. Once my oldest learned to read he started reading to my youngest as his reading homework each night. It was the sweetest thing to have the boys share their love of reading and spend that time together. I also think this helped make my oldest son so much better at reading out loud.
