I’m learning Spanish via Rosetta Stone – which is a great program provided you get version 3 (version 2 is poor in comparison). My Fiancée is from Peru, she’s helping me a lot, however she keeps laughing at my accent and telling me its cute.

How I did it: For me working on the cruise ship helped me assemble an eclectic cast of characters I call friends. I find Facebook to be a good way to stay in contact with them. I know I have a place to stay in almost every European country as well as South Africa, the Philippines, and other parts from around the world. Total count (if I were to count) about 500 new friends Read how I did it…
How I did it: This is obviously a work in progress, but I found that Dan Thies has created a amazing (and free) e-book called SEO Fast Start. I highly recommend this as a start point. I also came across a great tool that is inexpensive called Market Samurai they offer a free trial. This is helping me redesign my web site to get the traffic it deserves. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My (now) wife and I were working on the cruise ship at time we got married. At first we were completely lost in the process. We had the added factors of our transitory lifestyle to coordinate. In the end all the other workers helped us from the onboard wedding coordinator (Slavica from Macedonia), the ship photographers, the pastry chefs, the head chef, to even the Captain of the ship. We ended up getting married on Smather's beach in Key… Read how I did it…

I had a great Jeep Cherokee Laredo that I sold last November because I was going to work on a cruise ship. I got exactly what I was asking for, and just before the gas prices got absolutely crazy!!!
I just finished my first contract on Carnival. I was on the Carnival Elation. Overall I have to say that you do indeed work a lot of hours, the food can be iffy at time (great at times too).
Ultimately its really all about what your goals are and how you spend your time. I, for instance, got my SCUBA diving certification in Cabo San Lucas, something I’ve always wanted to do. I learned about the culture of Mexico, another smaller goal of mine.
I also met some really great people from all over the world, many of which I am still in contact with. Not to mention I met my Fiancée on the ship!!! Talk about life changing for the better!!!
I’m starting my second contract on the Carnival Valor in two weeks.
