I’ve always wanted to be able to sing. I’ve been playing guitar for 11 years now, and I always wanted to be a singer/songwriter type. I’ve been practicing more and more, and I got a book “Singing for Dummies”. My church is having an open mic night thing in about a month, and I’d love to be able to play one of my songs for that. But I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do it. I hate my voice, and I seem to get a bad lisp when I sing.

How I did it: The way I did it was ease in. I think there's an order of hats from normal to more fashion-forward, and you can get people (or mostly yourself) used seeing you in hats. I've always worn baseball caps, as do many males, so I feel like that's the bottom rung of hat wearing. Beanies are down there too, but I got some stylish knit caps that I rock from time to time. Then I got one of the Fidel Castro type hats that are a little trendy. Very s… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to New York City for a week, alone. It was incredible, and I never once felt lonely. NYC is the perfect place to visit alone. I was able to do whatever I wanted, and I was able to get SO much done. For instance, my favorite artist is Mark Rothko, and I spent my time tracking down all of his paintings in the city. I don't think I would be able to do that if I wasn't alone. It was just cool being able to wander around and explore at … Read how I did it…
So I finally did this today after wanting to for awhile. I don’t know why I waited so long, it was no big deal really. I went at 5pm on a Tuesday night, so only 4 other people were in the theater. And guess what, 2 of them were alone as well. Yes, us loners outnumbered the non-loners! I feel like a new world has opened up to me, a world where I can go see any movie at any time I want. I’ll be making this a regular thing for sure.
