I broke up with the boyfriend tonight. Not the worst guy in the world by any means, but he just did not treat me like I deserve to be treated.

I can take free online Spanish courses through the public library, but i can do it at home on my own computer. I tried it out today and I passed the first 3 lessons, no sweat. Which is good since I did have two years of Spanish in HS.
I’m hoping these lessons work! They are supposed to help you learn a new language just like you learned your first one. Lots of pictures…
I let my English students do these as extra credit, so maybe I’m doing a whole bunch of random acts of kindness through them. But yeah, I do them too. It feels really great.
I’ve volunteered in schools and on political campaigns. It’s great to be passionate about something that doesn’t involve money (at least, when it comes to you).
I am an advisor for the hip hop club at the high school I teach at. It’s pretty cool.
I already did this, but we are semi-permanently on hiatus :( I think I need a new band.
I’m a teacher… it’s all I do. Maybe if I read more of what I WANT to read instead of what I have to teach…
I thought I would regret getting a tattoo, which is why I waited so long. But one day, when I was visiting my brother in Cali, I just dove in.
My tattoo is of an eighth note, because music is pretty much my life.
