Get a PhD
Untitled 13 months ago

After deciding to do a PhD the next step should either be what you want to do it in and then where you want to do it. The where being decided by the best place with the best professor that is available at a acceptable cost.

In South-Africa you can get a grant to get you PhD overseas via a bursary. This is the next item that I am going to investigate.

Start teaching kids over weekends
Become a teacher 16 months ago

I asked job advise from a friend of my father. He said that I would make a good teacher. I believe his comment to be valid due to the fact that helping someone else achieve something has always caused me happiness. I believe this is definitely the quality of a teacher.

One way to test whether this is in fact my passion (and whether I would be good at it) is to start teaching kids over weekends.

Ideas for subject areas:
1. Maths
2. Computer/PC
3. Accounting

run a 10km road race (read all 2 entries…)
My first 10 km road race 16 months ago

I went running with a friend of mine last year, and while running with him I realized that I always admired runners. I decided that I wanted to start running….

I joined a running club January 2008, ran a 6 km time trail most Tuesdays and yesterday I ran my first 10 km race. The race was the Fanie Booysen Icebreaker in Garsfontein Pretoria. It was a very nice race with beautiful surroundings and very nice and helpful people.

One lady I met while running was Isabella. The last 4 km went by very quickly and we chatted abut races and her kids and all kinds of stuff. It was a lot of fun!!!
