How I did it: I applied to four museum and gallery positions online in the last month. I was granted four interviews. The last one I applied for was at a Non-profit Art and Performing Arts Center and the interview went smoothly. Although it doesn't pay very well it is great to have my foot in the door. The best part is I am my own boss now (other than the board of directors that I work for!! :) Yippee! Good luck everyone!  Read how I did it…

Stuck in research 9 months ago

I’m doing research and completely frustrated. I am trying to keep my mind on the bigger picture because I want a teaching job. So I will just have to keep at this until it is finished. At first I thought I could just sit down and write it from A-Z….but instead I’m stuck in the research phase and just keep spinning my wheels. The hard part trying to finalize my topic. I’ll just have to pick something and move forward.

STEP 1: By the end of this week I will finalize the proposal and work on my introduction. Without those I can’t move on.

do the dishes
calling me 9 months ago

I HATE DISHES. PERIOD. I can hear the dishes waiting. I promised myself the kitchen counter would be spotless by the time I went to the gym tonight. Now that I’ve written this the dishes seem to be getting louder. I wish anything but the dishes was screaming ‘DO ME!!’... but sadly my life just isn’t that interesting anymore
