I am late in getting started this year

I have been so busy! Tonight I finally bought a few seed packets. Tomorrow I will begin planting – weather permitting. We have an enlarged garden plot from last year, and last year I grew quite a bit. I am hoping to increase my variety and my yield. I need to plan the layout and get going.

5/22 Gratitude

- my niece’s surgery went well and she is doing ok
- having people who trust me enough to confide in me
- a coworker gave me a wonderful compliment today
- having the money to buy tickets to an upcoming music festival
- that I have been able to help others
- a successfully non-dramatic dinner date with my husband (for a change)
- coffee plans for tomorrow morning

Today was really great!

Spontaneous musical adventures

I bought tickets today for a local music festival that I have never attended. It’s in 2 weeks. I had been considering going then just decided why the hell not? I have heard this is a small and intimate gathering. I am hoping to meet some interesting people.

Tomorrow I am thinking about driving 3 hours to see the Mickey Hart Band. My daughter will certainly go along with this idea and neither of us has to work. Not sure if anyone else is up to the adventure at the spur of the moment. Work schedules and lack of money be damned!
