Learn to play the piano
yay

I always had a problem with practising. Once I am doing it, it’s fine, but to actually get up and open that lid…

Turns out the reason for that wasn’t that i was completely unmotivated, but I felt really insecure about other people listening to my meagre attempts at playing (or rather destructing) beautiful pieces of music. The solution: I bought an electric piano. I can now turn down the volume so that only I can hear it while practising and I have just ordered some headphones to make it even more private.

Now I love playing and practising and am managing to do that quite regular (not on a daily basis, but every other day-ish) and I have even played for other people, too (only when I’m pretty confident about the pieces though).

Also, I am now playing what I want and not what I ought to play and it’s great. I’m really chuffed that I finally got to this point. Yay me.

Steph
