I’m training for my first marathon, the Edinburgh marathon at the end of May 2012.
So far my training is going ok but I’ve lost 5 runs to windy weather this winter, more than I’ve lost to snow!

How I did it: Signed up for the Great Scottish Run half marathon and ran for Christian Aid. The combination of a target run and sponsorship got me through it. I use Adidas miCoach app for the iphone which on the whole worked well. Read how I did it…

I signed up to run a half marathon in September for Christian Aid. That has given me the motivation I needed to get out the door.
I’m using the Adidas miCoach iPhone app and it’s great. 5 runs a week and I’m up to 12km on my long run and over 40km a week.
I cycled home from Glasgow yesterday (14 miles). I took my bike in on the train and rode home.
I’ve also started using cyclemeter on my iPhone for logging journeys. It’s brilliant!
