Even saying "Yes" and "No" in Mandarin isn't simple, is it?

Just getting back to this goal, trying to get the first five words down. But there’s no single word for yes, is there?

“Am.” “Can.” “Good.” “Like.” Just affirm the verb in the question. But that means you have to know the verb.
