It’s funny, whenever I’m job-hunting I end up checking a variety of searches and postings, but every time without fail, it’s been Craigslist that has come through for me.
I was just hired for a new job that pays more, and for the first time in my life, has health coverage and paid vacation time. And it’s closer to the part of town I want to be in. Pretty happy about it. Now I just need to move, because it’s a 45 minute drive from where I’m at now.

So I’m thinking I’m going to go ahead and drop $300 or so on a nice camera on eBay. Friend at work that does some filming recommended the Canon HV20, and I can pick it up for not too much. Then I just have to worry about figuring out what to shoot. And learning to edit, and light, and all that fun stuff.

This isn’t happening just yet. The lead I was hoping would pan out didn’t. Back to square one again. I’m just a little under-qualified for stuff. The things I have experience in, I never have enough. Or there’s some specialized skill I don’t know. And I can’t justify taking the time and money to learn Access or some crap just so I can get a slightly better job still not doing what I really want to do. I just need the right job to come along. I make around $1360 a month right now. I need to make roughly $1700. It’s not a huge jump; and before I moved down here I was making way more.
