need to stay focused
...not wanting to deal with the challenges i face ! I am organised in every aspect except in my own life – I am finally starting to understand what it is i want to do with my life and where i want to be a few years down the line – now comes the tough part, organising and planning on how to achieve those goals.
So, I’ve started by getting organised on a day-to-day basis – I went to the stationary store and bought a giant whiteboard and some markers. I wrote out columns for the days of the week and colour coded everything i have to do according to whether it was financial, personal, DIY, family related etc.
It’s only been a few days but so far it’s working – I find it easier to visualize the things i need to do and have them ‘in my face’ – by doing that, i know they are not going away !
I also came across this handy resource:
Worth a go !
....how many ways do i hate thee ? It can be a pain in the arse to live with, always considering the ‘what ifs’ and the ‘maybes’ – Just recently, after discovering this site, i came across another that gave me a new philosophical approach to my problems and worries:
“John C. Parkin argues that saying Fk It is a spiritual act:
That it is the perfect western expression of the eastern ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realising that things don’t matter so much (if at all).”
Just lately, when faced with a problem that was causing me serious worry, i simply repeated the mantra ‘fk it’ – I felt better – the problem was still there and i knew i had to deal with it – but without the extra baggage of worrying about it. I could deal with my problem in a logical, rational manner and that was the key.
I’m a long way from being worry free, but I’m finding way’s to deal with it.
Lesson no.1 – ‘F__k it’
