because I think that I might get an elliptical machine instead. Or a treadmill.
We went to Dick’s today, and I was fully intending to buy my exercise bike so that Hubby could set it up for me today. But, given the price of it, I really did want to look at more than the three that Dick’s had available, so I suggested that maybe we go to Sears, and then we both remembered that there is an Academy Sports down the way from the mall where the Sears is, and since we’ve never looked there, we went there instead.
Academy had several bikes to try, one of which was a Schwinn 230 (I wanted the Schwinn 240), and it was $150 cheaper, but looked and felt the same. They had a few others in the less expensive range. Then I started looking at the treadmills and found four in my price range (meaning that they were equal or less costly than the original bike I wanted), and two of those four were actually very nice and sturdy – ones I would buy. I also looked at the elliptical machines, and tried a couple out . . . wow, those would make for a serious workout. There are two that are decent and sturdy and both well under my price range . . . so I decided to think about my options for a few days before just buying something.
At the moment, I am leaning heavily toward the elliptical machine, but I do have some concerns on whether it will hurt or help my hips, so we’ll see.
