After years of being half serious about it, I am finally self-employed and all my financial needs are met. I have happily “downshifted” so that my costs are lower, and now I can actually begin saving money as well. Being my own boss, deciding how I spend my time and working towards something I believe in were well worth the years of struggle. I just wish I had had the confidence and tenacity to do it earlier : )

I did get my blood drawn and I managed not to cry. The best part? It wasn’t even that bad! It is a very sucky thing that sometimes has to happen, but it’s not worth getting all riled up about. I’ll have an IV in a few days and I’m barely even nervous. Facing your fears is rad.
I’ve been working out now for about 7 months and I have reached my fitness goal and am pushing on. Physically I feel strong and energetic, and it’s also improved my self esteem. It’s helped me take interest in eating the best I can and overall taking better care of myself. All hail exercise!
(There’s a million ways to get in shape, but in case anyone wonders, Tae Bo and lots of raw food pretty much did the trick for me. I approached both with a willingness to work hard, and I started seeing results quickly. Never before now have I enjoyed doing strenous activity, but it’s become satisfying to do. I can’t believe I wasted so many years with a body that didn’t make me happy!)
