i played in a jazz band in high school and we have a swing dance every year. this past year, i invited a friend of mine from my orchestra to go with me (something no one does; i’m quite sure i was the only one who had brought a date). it turns out he was excellent at swing-dancing, and taught me a bit. swing dances are more fun if you actually get out there and dance instead of just standing around.
also, we almost won the dance competition at the end, but there were these old people who were awesome at swing-dancing.

i had no intention of going this summer; i was going to wait until after i graduated since ill have a lot of time to do whatever. but it turns out im going with my best friend and some guys she met at business camp. haha.
im really excited. i mean, cobra starship, motion city soundtrack and anberlin? it cant possibly get better than that.
