I gave back And Then We Came to the End to my dear Nz-love and have Kayla’s books in my dorm bookshelf.
As soon as I finish Ahab’s Wife, I’ll only have to deal with the pain of trading back with Sarah.

I’ve had my hair cut short since I got into college.
My wedding is coming up this October and I’d like to have my hair, at least, on its way to how it used to be in high school (even if it looks better short).
I’d like to start an herb garden when I move into my new apartment this summer.
When I was little I used to fill out those surveys with my favorites.
I haven’t done that since.. and I find that – with all the committees i’m joining this year – I’m constantly at a loss for my “faves”.
So I’m just going to sit down and think about it. :)
I got braces!
I bit the bullet and went ahead with it. To hell with my vanity. ha.
Still, I have nothing to complain about. I’m getting them FOR FREE, because my orthodontist wants to give my teeth the benefit of the doubt: it could be me. it could be the retainer. it could be just how my mouth works. So I’m not out any money.
And he said, tops, it should take 6-8 months.
Not too shabby.
I’m very thankful, to say the least.
Pretty soon I’ll have to start wearing rubber bands.. and then I may be singing a different tune. But, even then, I have no reason to do anything but praise God for such an understanding doctor. Because I (or my family) really don’t/doesn’t have the money right now, with all the craziness going on for school and my dad’s job, to do that all over again.

Although it wasn’t the one I anticipated buying, it is a very nice planner.
And I’m surprised I found one so quickly that I liked because I’m kind of picky about day planners.
I finally got my actual dress for my Mrs.Lovett cosplay.
Of all places, from eBay.
The woman who made it works out of a little home studio, which she’s painted pink, and re-styles vintage dresses she finds into more modern versions of themselves or costume pieces (as in this case). She uses it as a chance to get away from her all-boys lifestyle (being a mother of two(?), i believe and a wife).
She’s very talented.
And I’m so pleased to finally have gotten my dress.
It ended up being about 202$, which is very expensive, I know.
I realize now I probably could have made it.. or perhaps bought the parts for less.
But my loving boyfriend was so sweet to offer to pay for half (something I did not ask for but was very thankful of!) and I had just found a 100$ bill I had gotten for graduation over a year ago just the day before. So it was perfect.
What’s left!:
-Basketweave hat w/ veil
-Lacey fingerless gloves
-Beaten up ankle boots
-Portrait necklace or locket (might have?)
-Wedding band (I may or may not have something to fit this bill)
-Sculpy (to make a rotten pie out of. lol)
-Paint (red, black, white, specifically.)
-White powder
-White pancake makeup
The little odds and ends shouldn’t be too expensive if I get them in the right place.
And now we just need to work on Matt’s costume. :)
I’m so thankful to my boyfriend’s mother for letting me come along this year (her birthday gift to me). It’s very generous and the sweet act isn’t wasted on me.
Our trip to Georgia is scheduled to be May 27th-30th.
I’m so excited! :)
I’ve been working on this thing for about 2 years now..
which is ridiculous, regardless of how busy life has gotten.
I’m picking it up again and resolving to work on it AT LEAST a half hour a day until it’s done.
My grrl and I used to go every month.
I miss it!
Anyway, it’s definitely worth going, even if it’s just for a one-time experience.
That would be amazing.
They probably wouldn’t let you twice, so you’d have to make it good. xD
I had braces when I was younger for about 3 years..
it turns out, as a result of a screwy retainer, I’ll have to get them again.
Until I go about getting my second set, I’ll be straightening out the few teeth that went astray (after my bite messing up again) with invisible retainers.
Let’s see how this goes.
Culinary arts is a huge part of my life,
but I’ve never bothered to compile a recipe book.
I’d like to make it a scrapbook of sorts.. with pictures of people that have enjoyed the meal and commentaries on the first time I used the recipe.
