Not so long ago I had some problem with my laptop battery when i went abroad. Gave it for repair to a computer shop. They repaired the battery problem, but also uninstalled my norton antivirus program and installed some other shit, saying there were 200 virus in it. that’s so bullshit because my norton was up-to-date and they must have some monetary interest in installing that shit program.
when i went home. i found out that many of my important programs got deleted because that program was ‘fixing viruses’. and also all of my 30,000 songs i used to play through iTunes got locked files forever.. because iTunes lost some important program files. I have been trying to find solution.. tried everything. no use.
All my music is lost :(
a big lesson for me. now i’ll have to start my collection again, organise it… and this time I WILL BACK UP ALL MY MUSIC on an external device!
i recommend you do them same <-

For many years I have been struggling to gain weight. I remained just skinny, no matter even if I ate more. Apparently, my metabolism is very high. And I did have unhealthy eating habits.
However, 6 months ago I made it a point to join the gym and eat a lot. And not just anything, but nutritiously balanced and protein rich food. I did not gain much muscle, but I did gain ten kilos and got closer to my initial BMI goal, which was 15 kg.
Then I got vacation and went on travelling. Lost touch with exercise. Unfortunately, I had stopped going to the gym coz I got too busy with studies and exams. Now I feel bad about the gap. Not to mention, I lost some weight again. :(
But now I have started the gym again. I hope to get back on track and gain weight and reach a healthy BMI soon.

Finally, now I’ve learnt how to eat with chopsticks. This is really something worth doing because any learning process is good exercise for your brain and it also helps to adapt to the contemporary multicultured world. Plus, now you can impress your friends (hehe, one of the most important reason why you’re on 43things).
Eating with chopsticks seems like a very difficult task, but believe me, it’s not. Yes, with a few days of practice and most importantly, the right technique, you’ll be able to skillfully pick up that rice with the tip of your chopsticks. Now, the funny thing is that I highly recommend you study the brief history of chopsticks and the table manners and etiquettes related to it. That is because I believe you must know some history and philosophy of a cultural to really become a part of that culture. It would be a dumb thing to do: to learn how to eat with chopsticks without any knowledge about table table manners and the chopsticks itself. For example; you may not have noticed but there are different types of chopsticks from different asian countries. Japanese, Korean, and Chinese chopsticks are all different. When you are not using your chopsticks, place them on the chopstick rest (hashioki) or on the table or a dish. Don’t plant them vertically in your rice as this is how rice is offered by Buddhists to their deceased ancestors. Also, don’t pass food from your chopsticks directly to someone else’s chopsticks. At funerals, the bones of the burned body are passed that way from person to person. No matter how frustrated you get if you’re not able to pick up your food, piercing food with chopsticks is unacceptable. Holding a bowl to one’s mouth and “shoving” rice in using chopsticks is considered bad in Japanese culture but acceptable in Chinese culture. And there’s much more. Interesting. Isn’t it?
You’ll find most of the info on net, including demonstrations of how to hold the chopsticks. But, it’s good to learn it from an asian friend. One more thing: after you learn using chopsticks, don’t form a habit of eating with it for the rest of your life. It’s fun, but recent research has shown that constant use of chopsticks leads to some bone problems in the fingers and palm area. Apart from that, trust me, it’s not that difficult. It’s fun!
Enjoy!
