This is an ongoing process really. I’ve had a second child since writing this on 43 things. As I did with my first born, I have been clicking away and recording videos of them both.

How I did it: Got my visit visa for the US in February well ahead of my visit in August. So, if there was any glitch, I could reapply. But there was not problem, I got the visa and too off in August for a 30 day visit. Met my sister after 5 years and saw my 4 year old nephew for the first time. It was totally worth it. Read how I did it…
I met my nephew for the first time last Summer when I travelled to New York to see my sister. I live in Dubai, so it’s far away and I can’t see my nephew as often as I would like to. I spent a month with him and it was wonderful. I hope to visit again in a years time.
Last summer, I visited my sister. It was a trip I had long been planning. Seven months pregnant, I travelled to the US all the way from Dubai in the Middle East to see my baby sister in New York. I spent a whole month with her and her family. I saw her for the first time after her wedding five years ago and my 3 year old nephew. We toured around the East coast and had a blast. My son enjoyed the trip and really bonded with my sister and his cousin. My brother in law was super too. He drove me to Canada to see Niagara falls in the middle of a thunder storm while he was feeling a bit under the weather. I also met up with a high school friend in Canada, who I hadn’t seen in seven years. I plan to visit her end of this year again as she’s having a baby this summer.
