LinkedIn could enable people to list all the subject areas they are knowledgeable about, so other people can call them up for a friendly conversation. This list of topics may or may not be related to their career path thus far.

LinkedIn has the enormous potential to unite people, across geographic, national or even corporate boundaries. I believe that once people learn to work together, capitalism can be more humane and more compassionate. Currently, corporations are places of death, where people (including experienced and senior people) just go through the motions, without feeling alive and without getting any personal satisfaction in their job.
