Leave aside a whole day for this. The canyon, if you aren’t already aware, is huge! There are many stops you can make at different view points throughout the canyon. So if you don’t stop at every single one, don’t get upset about it. There’s plenty to see but take your time and soak it all in!

How I did it: I went to a ski lodge in vermont and took lessons! The instructors there were really fabulous and helpful and it was a really great price. $179 for four lessons, two days of rentals, and a lift tickets for the lower lifts (since you won't be needing upper lift tickets if you're just learning!) Visiting Williamsburg was delightful. The shop keeps were some of my favorite people to visit. There were a few museums my family really enjoyed and in general, the atmosphere of the town is one to be experienced.
I went scuba diving through a cruise I went on and it was an amazing experience. Once you get your mind wrapped around the fact that you have to breathe through your mouth out of this one hole, you’re good to go. And the view is amazing!
