Brian, a guy that I work with on a youth ministry, had a great point. If we started our week out reflecting on exactly what God has done for us, how much easier would it be to live out our weeks glorifying him?
I struggle with this one a lot. I’m trying to start a business, and it seems like every hour that I can devote to work helps. Cutting a day out hurts (on the surface, that is). Having weekend days is crucial.
But then there are some positives if I can have the discipline. I get one day a week to unwind and not burn myself out. I get some time to spend with loved ones and God.
Being a Christian has its costs, but they are always worth it.
I’ve done this one Sunday. This coming Sunday is my next opportunity, and I’ll be doing my best to take advantage.

My goal is to visit Giant Eagle’s new Market District this weekend. I think they try to emphasize organic and local foods more there.
This is a huge plus because I can still use my Advantage card there and work toward cheap gas. That was a big turnoff about Whole Foods. Expensive and no rewards program.
Another plus is that they’ll hopefully have “normal” deodorant and hygiene items there so I wouldn’t need to do my shopping at two different grocery stores. We’ll see.
A minus is that it’s all the way up in Upper Arlington. That kind of sucks because the regular Giant Eagle is a city block away from my house. It’s nice to walk there instead of needing to drive 10-15 minutes to get there.
At least I’m trying something new that gets me closer to this goal. We shall see how it works out.
