My dog is spectacular! He smiles (really-showing teeth and all) at me every day when I come home from school. He is so gentle and loving. He is good with the kids and he sleeps in my bed with me. Damn—I just described my dream man! I will have to get back to you on this…..

would be awesome! I played ball for 26 years and one day it was gone! I graduated from college, and what then? I didn’t go pro, and it was suddenly the end! I have messed around in the gym a couple of times since then, but nothing serious. I was going to play on a community league, but I found out I was pregnant, so I didnt get to play. Now I don;t live in that community any longer. I want to put up a couple of goals at my home and really start playing again-every day-with my kids. I am so thankful that some of my talent has been passed down to my children. They have a natural talent, but not the heart. They don’t love it like I did. Maybe if I played ball with them more, and showed them how fun it really is, they would love it more.
I look at my children and watch them imagine and wonder about everything! I envy that! My oldest son dreams of being a professional baseball player and a “sponsored” skater. I try my level best to encourage and feed those dreams, but at the same time, try not to give false hopes. I would love to be able to dream that way again-wonder about everything-and have the belief that they are going to come true. Can adults wonder that way? Do we lose that sense of wonder once hard hit reality sets in…or can we regain that sense of wonder and truly be amazed again?
