- Go to the gym.
Just start going. You shouldn’t put too much pressure on yourself to begin with, at first your main goal is just to get used to going regularly.
Within a month or two, you’ll automatically start doing more and more, and soon you’ll be addicted to it.
Also, when you’ve done this for a few months, start looking for other methods of working out. Sports, yoga, et al. The more different things you do, the more fun it is.
- Work on your diet.
I switched to healthier food gradually. Before, I found a couple of things that were healthy, ate lots of those until I got bored with them and then went back to the burgers.
This time, I gradually found healthy alternatives to what I’d been eating, and now I almost exclusively eat healthy, in modorate portions, evenly distributed through the day.
- Work on your mindset.
You’re gonna have to get used to the fact that if you want the changes to be permanent, it’s gonna take time and work.
If you stop obsessing over the larger picture, and just deal with the health issues of the day, it’s not so hard, though. At first you’re gonna have cravings for your old unhealthy food, but that will decrease as you eat less and less of it.
Don’t beat yourself up if you’ve had a bad day, and appreciate when you’ve done well.
