How I did it: We were both keen to have a baby, although we weren't really trying for it. Then on boxing day everything fell into place. 38 weeks later our little baby boy arrived! It's the best thing that's ever happened! Read how I did it…

More progress 17 months ago

Since the last entry I’ve made more progress. I was playing a fair bit over the Summer. My girlfriend and I have also been playing together a fair bit, which is a lot of fun.

It’s an ongoing process really, but of course the more practice you have the better you get.

swim in all the oceans
Done it. 2 years ago

I’ve swum in all the oceans. Except possibly the Arctic Ocean if it is indeed an ocean.

By ‘swum’ I mean to have swum out to a depth such that if I put my hands above my head and fully immerse them, my feet don’t hit the bottom.

Oceans:
  • Indian (Perth, my home town is on it)
  • Southern (not far from my home town)
  • Atlantic, North (from the UK)
  • Atlantic, South (from Brazil)
  • Pacific, South (from east coast Australia)
  • Pacific, North (Hawaii)
Great Seas Swum:
  • Mediteranian (Greece, Italy)
  • Carribian (Cuba)
Great Seas not swum:
  • Arctic Sea (some consider this an ocean, I’ve not swum this one)
  • South China Sea (I have paddled in Singapore however)
  • Bearing Sea (Brr! watch out for icebergs!)

There’s lots of other bodies of water listed as seas, I’ve chosen an arbitary lower limit of 2,000,000 km2 as being a ‘great sea’.
