According to my Spanish friends, this song actually has words! I for one, and I suspect I’m not alone, have always just sung “Humena, cocona heme macarena” and so on.
I went back today after the bruise had faded, only to fail the iron test. How ridiculous that I could pass last Friday and not today. So I’ve been barred for three months. It just seems stupid that they are crying out for donors yet on two occasions they have neglected to accept my perfectly healthy blood. I have half a mind not to go back ever but I know it woudln’t be them I would be punishing. Just to add insult to four jabs with a needle, my mother came along with me en route to another errand and she donated fine. :( I cried quite a bit but some nice nurses made me feel a bit better :)
