Well, I guess I know why they say it’s so hard to lose weight over the holidays. In the last week I had to go to a wedding at the last minute; drive up to Dallas (4 hours); stay in Dallas 3 days; move all of my stuff from storage to a trailer; drive with the trailer in AN ICE STORM back to Austin (return trip took me 8 hours); move all my stuff from trailer to new house. Up next I need to unpack; paint my room and furniture; assemble my furniture; make holiday presents and deliver them; attend a Christmas party, ALL BEFORE TUESDAY AFTERNOON! At which point I will be on holiday vacation, learning how to sail for ten days.
So, all that didn’t bode well for my established workout routine. And it is freezing cold outside. I did manage to get a yoga class in and take a run with the dog at home. But I’ve been drinking more wine than usual and eating yummy cheese and crackers at my parents. I have no idea what I weigh, and probably won’t be able to join a gym until the New Year. So I guess I am going to buck up and get some warmer work out clothes to go running in outside until January. Yuck.
However, I did get a lovely size 6 skirt this weekend which is nice, I was afraid I was too solidly in the size 8 category, which is big for my 5’3” frame. I’d like to get back to a size 4, which is really my goal.
Now I’ve got to go make use of the indoor treadmill while I can!

Time for the weekend! Yesterday was good
Breakfast: two special k waffles with peanut butter
lunch: fake chick’n nuggets and butternut squash soup
dinner: breakfast taco with eggs and blackbeans
No snacks!
worked out: 35 minutes, ran for aprox. 25 of those. Dancing at night.
Here’s what’s bad: 5 beers in the evening!
Yikes! But what can I say? This is a bit of an issue for me. I love beer and wine. I’m trying to get down to only drinking twice a week, but with the holidays coming up, I don’t know if this is feasible. One thing that does help is trying to drink one glass of water following ever alcoholic beverage. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
slept til 11 a.m. for some reasin and that kind of threw my whole day off. At least I still excercised!
Breakfast: yogurt
lunch: blackbeans, spinach, onions and salsa on a whole wheat tortilla
snack: 1 piece lowfat cheese and three triscuts
dinner: one small piece veggie pizza and roasted beets and carrots
snack: granola bar, cappuccino and skim milk
excercise: cardio circuit. And I upped my speed on the cardio part so now I am jogging the whole time! Had to stay up really late to study, hence the cappuccino
